The short answer: every day, on every platform where families look for you. Social platforms show more of your content to people who don't follow you yet when you post consistently, and a center that posts daily looks open, active and real. That matters most when you pay for ads: families who click through to your landing page often look up your feed before they call, so a current one protects your ad spend.

A realistic weekly target
| Format | Per week | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram and Facebook feed posts | 7 | One a day: carousels, single images, Reels |
| TikToks | 7 | Photo slideshows or short videos |
| YouTube Shorts | 2 or more | Facility tours, staff clips, slideshows with music |
| Stories (Instagram and Facebook) | 14 | One sharing the day's post, one with a photo and a call to action |
| Google Business Profile posts | 2 to 7 | Shows on your Google listing |
That's roughly 40 pieces a week at full volume. It sounds like a lot, but most of it is the same idea adapted for each platform, and 10 to 15 strong pieces a week is a solid place to start.
An example week
| Day | Feed post | TikTok | Angle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Staff video: "What I do here" | Same video | Your city |
| Tuesday | FAQ carousel: "How long does detox take?" | Carousel as a photo post | Your neighborhood |
| Wednesday | Facility Short: a walk through the house | Same video | Your region |
| Thursday | For families: "What to say when someone won't get help" | Photo slideshow | Families |
| Friday | Review card, quoted word for word | Photo post | Your city |
| Saturday | Alumni story (with a signed release) | Same video | Statewide |
| Sunday | Myth vs fact | Photo post | Out-of-state travelers |
Make every post count
- Hook first. The first line and first frame should stop the scroll: a question or a specific concern.
- One call to action. Call admissions, send a message, save this, or share it.
- One location angle per day, with a location line before the hashtags.
- Real media. Your rooms, your people, your food.
- Pace real-people videos. One or two a week keeps your best stories from running out.
When daily isn't realistic
If your team can't post daily, pick three days and keep them. Consistency beats volume. But if you want to be found by people searching in your city, daily content across platforms is the standard to aim for, which is why many centers hand it to a team that does it full time.
